Wahu!
Wahu, previously known as Mana Mobility had an exciting promise – to be the premier e-bike rental service in Ghana, Africa, but their brand and advertising had gone off track.
Context
Wahus leadership team had lived and worked in London and recognised that western branding sensibilities could put the upstart Ghanian business on the map, miles ahead of their competition. They needed a UK-born brand that would cut through the noise and enable them to grow in the long term.
Big Idea
Charged With Freedom - Wahu! is a new way of life; an easy means of transport, a viable path to vehicle ownership and a gateway to sustainable employment. We are unlocking new possibilities by creating ethical fleet-as-a service solutions. Designing and manufacturing EVs made in Africa, for Africa.
Creative Solution
A complete rebrand and entirely new visual identity based on the rough African terrain that these E-bikes are custom built for. All that followed by branded merch for a key investors event and OOH designed to stand out in the African market.
Wahu! has two target audiences: investors and riders. We created a single TOV that spoke to both audiences.
Creative Copywriting

How Wahu! shows up on the streets really matters. So, we created a bold colour palette that creates impact out on the road, allied to a simple logo and graphic style that speaks to the company's authentic African sensibilities.
Stand-out Visual Identity

Wahu! Is ultimately about the Riders as much as the bike. So, when we show up on the web and in other digital spaces, we ensure that our focus is on the most important audience of all: the Riders.

Wahu! Has a bold and exciting story to tell; and African streets are no place for shy communications. That's why every piece of marketing puts the joy of prosperity through mobility front and centre, with bold branding and confident, evocative photography.

Launch Assets
We had to race against the clock to prepare a suite of branded merch for a crucial investors event. It was worth all of the hard yards in the end, as it ultimately increased their e-bike subscriptions 10 times over!

Ghanian OOH
The African OOH space is loud and bold - meaning we had to double down on the powerful patterns and unconventional colour-ways to stand out in the cluttered market.

The guys were able to bring their extensive brand experience and British craftsmanship to this entire process and we're very proud of the result!
